Portocolom is located in the south-east of the island of Mallorca - about 12 km south-east of Felanitx - at one of the largest natural harbours. From here in the 19th century the wine from Felanitx is transported to the main sales areas in France. When phylloxera destroyed the vines in 1890, the prosperity of Felanitx and its port came to an end.
Today, tourism dominates economically in the town of around 3,500 inhabitants. But there are also "real" fishermen whose boat sheds and houses give the harbor an original character.

The port is very safe at all times and you moor to buoys that are charged per night and cost around €25. From the port of Portocolom you can start very nice sailing trips in all directions around Mallorca.
